Tide and Flood Systems & Custom Sensor Networks
Smart Tide & Flood Systems
Smart Tide & Flood Systems
Which system is right for you? Do you need to monitor local tides at your marina or dock or are you a city planner or resiliency manager looking to improve climate resiliency in your community?
- Tide Alerts™ is designed for homeowners and waterfront businesses to provide live tide measurements as well forecasts for your exact location.
- Flood Levels™ serves cities, towns and communities who experience flooding during storm and high tide events
- Both systems use the same solar-powered, cellular-connected wireless gauges for accurate water level measurements.
- The Tide and Flood systems use separate applications to collect and display the gauge data.

Tide Alerts
Smart Tide Gauge Network
Tide Alerts
Smart Tide Gauge Network
Designed for waterfront homeowners and businesses, such as marinas the Tide Alerts system displays live tide information specific to your location.
- The public Tide Alerts application allows you to view live data, including a map of the stations and charts specific to each station. Predictions are performed to generate tide calendars and tables, for your location, and to display forecasted levels on customized charts.
- Your dock has its own tide. NOAA tide charts rely on data from gauges that are often miles away in open water. Tides are hyper-local and can differ from official predictions by 30 to 90 minutes. Local geography can shift water levels by a foot or more, while wind and air pressure can push levels further. Unless a NOAA station is in your specific waterway, your existing tide charts are just a guide.
- Local tide gauges can provide vital insights such as when water is too low for safe navigation, too high for bridge clearance, or reaching flood-risk levels.

Flood Levels
Flood Monitoring Networks
Flood Levels
Flood Monitoring Networks
Flood Levels is designed for towns, cities and associations seeking to monitor local flooding during storm and high tide events. We provide affordable, real-time monitoring at chronic flood points—like tidal crossings and low-lying roads—to enhance community resiliency for both coastal and inland locations.
- A network of gauges are placed at your highest-risk locations to provide live data. Automated alerts reach emergency management and residents the moment water levels rise, before flooding becomes a crisis. Coastal locations typically also include one or more tide gauges.
- Water levels are displayed relative to ground level, NAVD88 (the datum used by NOAA and FEMA for flood mapping), or tidal mean-lower-low-water at coastal locations.
- Every reading builds a historical record that supports grant applications, FEMA amendments, and CRS credits that lower insurance costs for your community.
