Ultrasonic Tide Station kit designed to be installed at marinas or residential docks. Sensor options are available to suit different settings. Ultrasonic sensors measure the distance to the water and may be mounted underneath fixed piers or bridges or to an optional arm that mounts over the water from a bulhead, pier, or piling. The kits include cellular or WiFi radios that send readings to the Tide Alerts Web App (monthly subscription required). Options include mains or solar power. The kits are designed for DIY installation and operation.
Kit includes:
- Tide Station Radio Module and case (Wi-Fi option)
- Wind gauge (speed and direction)
- Dual ultrasonic sensors with solar shields, cables, and painted PVC arm (this assembly needs to be mounted over the water by a structure provided by the customer)
- External plastic enclosure
- Micro USB power socket for external 1A 5V power to be supplied by the customer
This kit requires a monthly subscription to the app.tidealerts.com site with the following functionality
- Real time display of tide level, wind speed and wind direction
- Tide forecasts based on measured data from the Tide Station (forecasts are only available after at least one month of tide data has been collected)
